Hello all,

I recently switched to manual targeting with the help of the Weapons officer. My question regards the "precision shots". Before with auto targeting all you had to do once you are within 5 degrees and in the proper range was to click the section of the ship you wanted and it was highlighted. How is it done with Manual with the WO help? Or is it a disabled featured now? :hmm:

Please advise.

Thanks,

As far as I know that feature is disabled. What I normally do is when I am aiming for the softspots is the following:

Torps on Impact: Set running dept between 2,5 - 3.0 meters. And aim for where you expect one of the softspots to be.

Torps on Magnetic (only in good weater with very calm sea): Set dept 0,5 - 1 meter below the draft of the ship.

I get pretty good results with that. Also being able to blow up a lot of the C2's with just 1 torp.

Good luck!

In my opinion, weapons officer assistance is still auto-targeting, not manual, it just doesn't have the target info updated in real time like full auto.

To aim at the specific part of the ship you intend to hit, unlock the periscope and put the crosshair on that spot.

:yep:

Manual targeting is when realism is at 100% nothing less.
