Help on IuB 1.03

Could someone help an old man with the installation with the above. I have tried about half a dozen times with no luck each time, each time deleting the game and updating version to 1.4 etc. I managed to install the previous version, but cannot install this one.

I would be grateful for some advise( could you make it as simple as possible please)

I had a problem with installing IUB 1.03 as well. I don't know if this is the same situation by I'll try to explain the steps I took to get it to work:

Note- Please excuse the Laymen's terms, I don't know what you have as far as computer knowledge and related software.

When you unzipp IUB1.03, it creates a root folder called IUB 1.03. In that root folder contains a sub-folder called Improved U-boat 1.03.

If you're using the JSGME, cut (or copy) that Improved U-boat 1.03 sub-folder and paste it into your "MODS" folder (found in your SH3 Root folder). That's the reason why the mod didn't work for me, is because I was cutting and pasting the entire root and sub-folder into my JSGME "MODS" folder.

If you don't have JSGME, go here: http://216.235.153.31/u-boot/SH3must/

After that, open JSGME and enable the mod. I hope this helps.

I'll bet money that AO1_AW_SW_USN has solved your problem though. Basically:

\SilentHunterIII\MODS\IUB 1.03\Improved U-boat 1.03\data\ = bad
\SilentHunterIII\MODS\Improved U-boat 1.03\data\ = good

I wasn't aware that you put out a new verison of JSGME. Good call on telling him about the latest version.... bad on me for the bad information and link :damn: :lol:

Thanks for your help, but unfortunately it still does not work. I also cannot now load the previous version. I think i have a computer problem, which accounts for this.

When i reformat i will try again.
