I had a bad surprise when i returned at Lorient ... Command degraded me ! I was Kapitänleutnant and at the end of mission i read "you're promoted to Oberleutnant zur See " ..... whaaaat ?!

Well no allied or neutral ship sunk but ... i spent almost all my reown to "buy" a IXB when moved at Lorient...

someone can tell me what's happened?

Same thing happened to me after upgrading to a XXI from a VIIC. Must be something to do with dropping below the required renown for that rank :-?

You get promoted by the amount of renown you have,the more you spend the less you got and thus you get demoted and then get promoted again when you reach a xxxxx amount.

Yes Jungmann and Andy are correct. Rank is based on the amount of renoun you have, go below the amount required for a rank and you will get demoted the next time you end a patrol unless, you gain enough in that patrol to offset it.

Yea, this should be fixed. Unless you get negative renown (sinking friendly or neutral ships) your rank should only be able to go up.

could this be fixed in a Mod. Suppose I could just manually increase my renown to get my old rank back ;)
