I pissed of a destroyer escorting a C3 and now it is running in circles pinging me. I try to zigzag a little to get away but he keeps finding me.
It seems like i have max speed on 3 Kts. So i have no way to outrun it down in the deep. I have the betst crew availiable on the elec engines.
Can not speed up time neighter so i am kinda stuck here.

How far can a VIIB dive?
It wont go more then 30 meters atm.
Patience, patience and more patience. ;)
He´ll give up or you will be sunk.
Do you have "BOLD-1,2 or 3" installed? If so use them at depth, run at higher speed when the DC:s go off and the back to Schleichfahrt. If he get fooled by the decoy You will have some time to increase distance. :|\ The batteries won´t be a problem since you run slow. Air though can be :o .
Now be careful!!! If at 200 m+ it will be difficult to trim the ship at lower speeds. Watch the depthgauge + the pos of the diveplanes in the control room frequently. :o :o
Good luck

At least 170m should be no problem if not damaged.

Put silent running.... go to map, and look the info of the sonar crew, the red lines, attempt to maintain them as at bak as posible, do not make zig zag .... because it reduce you average 'going out' speed.
The average search pattern advace speed of DDs is just similar to your max silent running speed, if you make zig zags, you will never go out of they serch pattern.
Attempt always to make an "Y" with the red lines at your back.
Zoom in, look the red lines, when one of them become short, it is your crew is informing it is more near than the others, prepare to make a course change, 30 to 45 degrees, so to disturb the depth charges launch.
After depth charge launch..... recover the course to make a new time the "Y" with the sonar contacts red lines.
If you are against a single DD. after DD pass you will be ion the DDs sensors shadow zone, you can put ahead flank, and go following the DD, and when it turns yo can make a 90 degree turn, and put silent running another time..... he will go to search for you at the wrong place.
Be ware with it, not stay too much time at ahead flank afetr the DD intiate the turn.... you will enter a new time into the DDs sensors zone.
High depths may help a lot...but be ware, if you are hevy damaged so deep, you are done.
You must to take the risk..... and found a balance, depth helps to avoid detection, but may be lethal if you are damaged seriously.
This works fine for me.

If you have enough depth under the keel
1. switch to silent runninig.
2. Order the boat to 150 meters. (if hes already on your ass, you might want to get to 150 meters alot faster then 1/3rd speed :88) )
3. Once at 150 meters, wait for him to do an attack run, the instant he just passes you and your in his baffles, order hard to port or starboard, flank speed, and turn 90 degress to get away from your present postion. DO NOT DO THIS FOR VERY LONG. after 5 seconds or so, drop back to 1/3rd, and let the boats momentum finish the 90 degree turn.
4. Reduce motor RPM by going to 1 or 2 knots.
5. Be very quiet, if he finds you again, repeat step 3, or, as he drops his charges on his next run, go to flank the instant your in his baffles, and go deeper to get under, and out of, his current salvo.
