These pictures are from Rubin design beureau and show what is inside thier submarines, now rubin didnt design all submarines its joint between them and malakhit.
Notibly Rubin is the company responcible for designing the Oscar and Typhoon class submarines and also the Kilo class.

And saving the best till the very last Id like you to meet the power source behind the typhoon, this one little dustbin sized canister produces 50,000 SHP, and has the energy to power an entire town.

Nice pics, I bet those rocking chairs are fun on the surface of the Barents in winter :dead:

Holy sh*t!
If those are UV bulbs and live plants, this thread is LOCKED and everyone in here BANNED for life. You especially, Kapitain. That is totally un-authorized!
That is absolutely crazy. I can't believe it. I smell a picture of the base officers' club being passed off as a sub compartment. I could believe a sub having an actual (low power) tanning bed, but the rocking chairs and the plants and the backlit bridge scene is just too much. You gave yourself away with this one, Komrade!

As it goes, these are directly from the Rubin website and are not my own personal pictures ive quoted directly from there.
So if anyone is at fault sure aint me its them, oh and i do think they know what they put into thier submarines seeing as they design them.

Ya know those plants might make a good CO2 scrubber if main power fails... :hmm:

well, the boat is huge, nuclear powered. why wouldn't they have all this energy dependent stuff like uv light bulbs, or whatnot. :|\ But cats and dogs on board - i hope you're joking. Unless they eat them.

But cats and dogs on board - i hope you're joking. Unless they eat them. USS Holland had a Dog Mascot.
Hell one diesel boat had a Skunk! (To quote Down Periscope: "I bet you never seen that on one of them big nucs!")
As for Russians with pets onboard, a few boats and pet rats and well if you need proof about dogs and cats:

Yea that boat didn't only have a dog but fish too.
I think a U-Boat had some mascot fish in WWII, one was named Churchill but it was killed in an attack by a US patrol plane. ;)
Eh, those russian resting areas are nothing compared to the ones we have in our Polish submarines. :D

Our Polish submarines have loads of space.
And to show of more I will show you the power source in our submarines ;)
Edited: too much frontal nudity :( --NS

Nah. If those were Polish women, there'd only be two per oar. Nice boobs, though.
The captain and XO have always had a bit of leeway as far as Navy regulations. A few pets aren't that big of a deal. But when you start converting the ward-room/theatre room into a friggin' daylight room, with potted plants and tanning bulbs and background waterfall sounds (albeit, quietly), that is a whole other matter.
I would guess that the green carpets are pulled up and stowed on the walls, and that's actually a mess-room or the old political education room.
Pretty crazy to see, though. I don't think we've got anything like that on our subs, although the crew jogs around the silo-deck on boomers. Something wicked like 8 laps per mile (1.6km).

As for rooms like that in the US Navy, well the old diesels were fairly close:

I thought the CCP was compartment 2 in all those Kursk crew lists? Kinda low tech looking, even for Russia - a few small CRTs and that's all. Nicely lit, though.
This is the rest area of the Oscar II SSGN's some have pets on board ive seen cats dogs and birds.
That must be the room I hear about where they can change the pictures electronically on the wall (Truscott). Good bit of headroom there too, over 2m. They should have taken that monitor and used for the CCP given the way it looks (first picture).
This is the fire control panel inside a russian Typhoon SSBN
Where is the computer screen. I don't even see numerical LEDs. How am I going to retarget those missiles to a different target with these interfaces.

Compartment one is weapons bay, compartment two is the mess area.

Fire control panel is not for the missiles it is for torpedo's launched from the 8 tubes, the missile control panel is on the other side.
Now i realy wish i could upload that flaming Video and show you :damn: :damn: :damn: :damn:

Not in the dark (power failure), then plants breathe, consuming oxygen and releasing CO2 just like we do.

Here is another snapshot candidly taken moments later, I took the time to censor it as there may be under aged members…:88)
Edited: Too much brokeback suggestive material, Ahem! -- NS
Note that the mat on the floor is not for sound dampening as many think; the real purpose can be seen on the image. It is mainly used not to make the floor slippery… :o :D :-j
On a serious note, this method of relaxing really works and has been proven to work quite efficiently, maybe not for everybody, but still works for most. Of course, I do not think they show girls like I faked up there, but you never know, those mats seems dirty…:lol:
When you are submerged for months under the sea, for some people that giant illuminated board and a good chitchat between them is all they need to stay sane until the end of their patrol. I never had the chance to experience such mental depression, if depression would occur, but I guess if someone likes the environment where he or she is working, there is no need for such distraction/entertainment, you find an occupation.
By the way nice pictures Kapitain

Guys, sorry...Sorry for what Neal, you do your job. Even if there was no nudity and actually it was self-censored, I still understand your point of view and I now know the limit; under suggestive it will be, I have no problem with that, I will stick with technical stuff in the future too. :|\ :D
A pic from the USS Brokeback and one of the Breast...err...I mean Best...engine systems around...err...that's it...err...yeah... :yep:
So I missed nothing whilst i was on the army rumour service(www.arrse.com)

I sometimes forget that(I thought that all kidds where scared away from this part of the forum by Skybirds Essay-posts), the fault is totally mine on this one, if I haven't missed a boob(s) posted by someone else :P either way, I'm sorry.
