That website is apparently now part of this website. What did you do, take all their info and post it in this thread

The simple link would be been enough! Sheesh!!! :nope:

And don't you just hate those people who ask you if you have seen a movie and you tell them 'no' and that you'd like to see it but they tell you the whole movie anyways?

Nothing wrong in sharing us your finds. Next time, just share us with the link and a small overview of the site.

If you dont like us here in SubSim, you can always go to the UbiForums.

Anyway, welcome aboard!

I meant "freaking... " for 3 three guys up there, not all of the forum members, or you dowly for that matter. I've got no reason to feel that way.

By the way, is there a rule against long post?

Sorry but I can't follow this discussion? What's wrong? I couldn't find a single problem with the link? So, why to be so rude to him?

I was already aware of the site, but it's always good to have someone repost things that good.

Welcome aboard, midshipsnake.

Hey Midshipsnake I definitely recommend the forums at ubisoft. I read at both forums and there is a difference.

The atmosphere over there is more like sitting around the kitchen table discussing things. The atmosphere here is more like a country club with some prickly people.

Several people in this thread should be ashamed of themselves.

1) If someone wants to post information they are excited about there is absolutey no reason the jump on them for it. If you think the post was too long then let a moderator know and we can fix it.

2) We don't call people names here... no matter how much you may think that they deserve it. Again, if you have aproblem with someone, let a moderator know and one of us will sort it out.

When I hear someone say the forums at UbiSoft are a better place to talk about Subsims than the number 1 site anywhere in the world it makes me ashamed of the conduct of some of our members and think that it may be time to do a little housecleaning.

It looked like when he first posted, he had hit CTRL+A and CTRL+C to copy the entire text of the site, then pasted into the first post of the thread. It was long.

Hi, all

I discovered the site (uboatarchive) a couple days ago and was really impressed with all the details in the interrogation report parts of the site, like which pistol was used at what depth in this and that situation, and the details about the crew and their battles.

Reading the material really put me into the mood, so I went into the game and completed a patrol with much more immersion than before. After that, maybe I got too excited  so I copied the whole report and pasted it with the link.

Then I got some not so pleasant replies as you can see above. They made me feel like a stupid jerk for putting up a long post (yes, it was damn long, I admit it). I was sort of embarrased as well as pissed so I said "freaking xxxx..." (sorry about that), and deleted the report, leaving just the link. That's what happened, if you were curious.

Anyway, thanks for the welcome! :D

Hey dude, you don't have to be so nasty.

What a freakin bunch of *******s!

Two things....

-I wasn't being nasty. Nasty is what YOU did in your post  ! Long posts are welcomed as far as I know as long as they are 'ORIGINAL' work. You took from one website and posted it on this one - That is a NO NO! A simple link to Jerry Mason's website and an 'ORIGINAL' comment about what you thought about it would have been fine, but YOU simply selected all, copied, and pasted to this one. Shame on YOU!

-Your mouth is dirty and hurtful, it would be best to not use such hateful words on this site. John Channing has been known to punt such folks through the uprights and right out of the subsim.com stadium! :stare:

Other than that... Welcome aboard, may your stay be a long and pleasant one!
