You non-Australians probably don't realise that this guy is imitating Mark "Chopper" Read, a career criminal turned celebrity who actually does talk like that.

He is famous for pulling out a shotgun in court and trying unsuccessfully to abduct the judge. While in prison for this he started a gang war, and upon learning that other prisoners were planning to ambush and murder him, cut off his own ears in order to get transferred. While never being convicted of murder, he claims to have killed 19 people - although he stresses these people were 'human filth' and deserved it.
