Very nice! I like the camera work and "The four seasons" is an interesting choice of music.

Enjoyable little piece of work. Short and sweet, the simplicity was refreshing, I thought. Did the U-boat sink? That part was kind of foggy for me.

@Tonnage_Ace: I wanted this movie to have an open end, so it's up to your fantasy if they make it or not. Though I understand it's a little bit frustrating if you don't have a clear ending (or a happy end).

Maybe the story of U-212 will continue, who knows... ;) (but I can't promise it right now)

Good hunting!

Nice vid but..............

What the HELL is up with that 'Pee-Wee Herman' dance?!?!!?!?!?!? :rotfl:

Mr.Fleck

@Razman23: Glad you noticed my LI and his attempt at dancing ... this should have been the most important scene in the movie... but he totally bugged it. How could he possibly try a lap dance without proper clothing (well or the lack of clothing in this case). I cut his salary and you may have noticed that he is not mentionend in the credits. Enough punishment in my opinion. ;)

We may say with safety that U-212 is still on partol. :smug:
Not defining though if we are referring to 1942 or 2006.

THREE THUMBS UP!!!

Please tell me, what video card do you use. I am about to buy a new one and it seems yours runs flawlessly.

(I have plenty of RAM and a fast processor, so I know my video card is the culprit.)

"Riveting!"
"Two thumbs up!
"Grabs hold and won't let go!"
"A must see thrill-ride!"

Tell the truth, Mr. Fleck you are really Wolfgang Peterson!

@Kpt. Lehmann: I have a PNY GeForce 7800 GTX, AMD Athlon 64 3800+ with an ASUS A8N8 SLI Premium board and 2 GB RAM (Corsair Twinx2048-3200C2). With SH III I have about 80 to 100 FPS (with anti aliasing and anisotropic filtering activated).

@jasondef: OMG you finally found out. How could you demask me this fast. jasondef must be an alias for james bond. ;)

Thank you for speaking so highly of me but I'm just a regular guy who wants to give the community something back. In my opinion the subsim community (and the community which evolved around SH III) is the best gaming community I ever experienced.

Cheers

I haven't seen that type of freighter before. Does it come from a mod adding more ship types?

Mr.Fleck
02-27-06, 12:08 PM
@xrvjorn: The freighter is a large cargo. Besides some graphics and sound mods I have only RUb 1.45 installed. Therefore I guess it comes with RUb 1.45.

Good hunting!

I tried to record some scenes too but I noticed in your movie that you slowed down your camera movement somehow. How can I do this? Or is this a special setting of your computer?

Thanx

I tried to record some scenes too but I noticed in your movie that you slowed down your camera movement somehow. How can I do this?

Hold down the Ctrl-key while moving the camera.

Mr.Fleck

@Lavendel: Not bad, you took notice of it. ;)
Apart from using the Ctrl key you can modify "cameras.dat". I'm not at my gaming computer right now, so I can't give you the exact path. Simply search for the file with standard windows search. This is how I recorded the scenes because you have more control over the speed of the camera, when you edit this file. However the file is binary, wich means, that you need a hex editor or you go the comfy way and use timetravellers SH3 Mini Tweaker, which can be found here: http://www.delraydepot.com/tt/sh3sdk.htm
With timetravellers editor you can edit a ton of variables not only the camera settings. Maybe you find a way to edit the position of the camera, e. g. the position of the conning tower camera. I didn't find a way but it would allow more interesting perspectives.

Good luck making a movie!
Mr. Fleck
