Silent Hunter 3 is the King of all subsims. With the firs impression you'll probably get a bit dissapointed, but after installing the tons of good mods made for this game you're gonna be hooked!
You probably should read Subsim's SH3 rewiev, it speaks a lot of truth about the game.
SH3 is good...but with mods it is great

Combine the best characteristics of Silent Hunter 3 with those of Dangerous Waters, and you would have the ultimate submarine simulation, regardless of whether it is modern or period.

Have Sonalysts said they intend to adress the bugged diving and steering behavior of subs? And if so, in what quarter of the year?

Yeah have to go with SH3. I was gonna say Aces of the Deep, for its time.

I don't know, Sky. I was simply commenting and did not intend to engage in a tirade against SCS. We already have a DW forum, perhaps you could ask there.

I did not want to start a tirade, Tak, and I already visited the DW forum with that thread (link), after several months of absence. They did not take my input too friendly :) My impression is, judging by other guy's critical comments in the first months after release, that any reminder of the sim's weaknesses is not too welcomed over there, that's why I gave up there and only occasionally scan for news on patches (which additionally take too long to come). For me a sim with such ridiculous vehicle behavior is a non-starter. It's like a rally sim without 2nd and 5th gear.

Fair enough. I apologize for being so snippy.

I red that thread, but all it said is that others are aware of the steering problems as well. If and when Sonalysts will patch it, is not said, or did i miss something? that "comments are appreciated" is one thing, i would prefer they do not appreciate them, but would draw consequences of them within a reasonable time table.
