This is the Sub I am going up on Sunday to work on for 2 weeks. Of course, you can't see anything aft. Also, the Fire Control and Sonar Consoles are much better than those old ones.

I missed out on a chance to go a a 3 day cruise out of Groton. My ex son-in-law was on a sub and later told me he could take a family member out. But that was back before 911, I don't imagine it's possible amymore. Would have been a great experience.

Only 2 weeks? Are you a civi-contractor or an ensign going thru school?

The link takes you to a page with a picture of the head. Then there is a paragraph talking about the head. So I figure SmokinTep must be working in the head. S#!tty job but someone has to do it. :)

I work for the Govt. out of Norfolk Naval Base. I oversee a crew of Civilians who go onboard for 2 weeks and assess various systems/equipment and repair problems to ensure she is ready for deployment.
