My site got hacked by someone in the middleeast!

OK, what did I do ???

All of the sudden my site got hacked and some webgrafiti about muhammed got put on the frontpage :nope:

Anyway, I didnt use the frontpage for much anyway and I can tell from Google analytics, that I get alot of referels from a arab speaking forum in the middleeast, so I guess the hacker has posted his result.

So I put up a link to the "Buy Danish" promotion on my site.

That's harmless, compared to the threatening and hate-filled paper-letter I had in my mailbox in mid-January. Which is not so harmless anymore, because paper letter in my house's mailbox means the sender knows where I live and who I am.

Windows or Linux ?
ISS or Apache or ?
Do you have your webserver set to log the following:
error_log
access_log
I would be interested to have a look at them and see if there are any direct signs of intrusion from that particualr day where it happened.
Im sure that abuse@ISP.dk and abuse@CERT.dk would akso like to look at those logs if they contain any valuable information
