To avoid further international incidents, Torplexed will now confine himself to mocking the faddish hairstyles of now defunct empires.

Torplex, very funny!

Do you draw those from scratch or do you base these comics on some form of scene and character templates?

If so then why does the guy in this picture looks so much like young Mohammed at age 18?

Hello,
i wonder why everybody denies the relations and strong bonds between the Saud and the Bush family (or other "statesmen" respectively). All the best friends certainly. ;)
Greetings,
Catfish

Simple. Money talks. If you are a politician thats taken money from the Saudi's you aren't going to make an issue of Bush incase someone finds that they have been taking money also. So say no evil, see no evil.
The U.S. political system is pretty corrupt but seems to be acceptable by the general public.

BBC NEWS XXIV
Roman correspondant: Biggus Dickus

A cartoon drawn in the further reaches of the Empire, depicting an innocent Roman girl as an object of amusement has outraged citizens of Rome, causing riots and fire outbreaks in several areas of the city.
The Corps of Vigiles are combatting these fires and Centurions have been brought in to disperse the crowds and restore order.
We asked Emperor Nero for a quote on the days events but were unable to hear his response over the music being played in the background, however close colleague Nortius Maximus assured us that the Emperor was watching the situation very closely and would make a public statement shortly.
With rising unrest in the Middle-West, and the annual Centurion games at the Amphitheatre being held on Dies Saturni, security has been upped on the streets of Rome following fears of a terrorist attack by the Visigoth group, well known for their attacks at Adrianople and Marcianople.

First saw this post at about 5:00 a.m. my time. Went trolling though my old drawings. No Mohammed cartoons. Found this Roman toon I had done several years ago and said...what the hell. It's ancient. :ping:

Avon Lady I usually start my cartoons off with a pencil sketch. See below. (Problem is, I rarely keep the pencil sketch.) When the pencil drawing gets tight enough I scan it to PhotoShop. I set that layer to Multiply and start coloring on the layers underneath. Usually end up exporting it to Painter for most part lately. Othertimes I use a vector drawing application to trace above the pencil sketch like on the Roman cartoon above. Depends on time. Vector always takes longer. Easier to edit tho. :D

Sixpack The evil Jihadists will silence me when they pry my pencil from my warm dead fingers. Cuz true to form they'll have probably chopped my hand off shortly before. :dead:

jumpy Sorry. No website. Nothing to sell. I just draw 'em for fun. ;)

Abraham Yes....that could be the young Mohammed. I heard he started his career in spaghetti gladiator toons. He had to get out tho. There was no prophet in it.....bidda-bing! Please kill me. :dead: :dead:

Oberon Now that's how to post. :rotfl: I'm hiring you as scriptwriter for Life of Brian 2: Roamin' Road Trip. Even if Graham Chapman is dead.

Neal Think I missed sumthin' too. I don't understand this post at all. I'm just filling in the blanks.

GT182 Monty Phython will never die!
