Time Compression and Air Attacks

Do you have to be at a certain time compression, or. below for air attacks to engage you. i,ve just started a carreer in 1943, and i thought the bay of biscay would be teeming with aircraft, i have RUB 1.45 and NYGM campaign mods installed ?

I have neither of those mods installed, and just this morning I was cruising along at TC 512 when I came under air attack. I actually put my flak gunner up and engaged the attacker, who eventually went away - followed up by a patrol boat who forced me under.

In another TC vein, I was cruising again at TC 512 when a merchant ship was spotted. It was small and I decided to put my deck gun crew to work. I think I was down to TC 8 when I sent them up. I told them to "shoot at will", and almost instantly the message line at the bottom of the screen said "unit destroyed"... I never even got to see it! That's a bit much, I'd say... :yep:

You will only encounter all the aircraft that you are supposed to encounter at 256x tc
