The way I see it there are only a few outcomes from a deadly force situation.

1. We both live (I'll catch you again some time)
2. You die, I live (Prefered)
3. We both die (Not so great :( )
4. You live, I die (Unacceptable)

Guess which one I chose for this particular situation.

I only hope that somehow the motherland credited this final bit of tonnage to my permanent record.

Special thanks to the brave deck gunner crew that waited till just before impact to fire a high explosive shell into the bridge of the destroyer.

To the six guys that survived the impact... may god have mercy on you.

Needless to say I don't recomend ramming a destroyer at 19KTS but they had me pinned down like a rat in a hole and I wasn't going to sit there and just take the depth charges until I rolled over.

I'm new to the forums. I've been playing for a couple of years at 59% realism, cheers.

The motherland will give you credit all right. With all those red bodies it looks like a Communist revolution is breaking out on yer sub.

Ve must sink Das Kapital ship!!!

Welcome aboard the forums BTW.

WOOOOW!

6 persons only!!! Do you use the Holywood mod?

Definitly ramming is the case...If you have the rudder operational.

Maybe it is the time for the Self Destruction Button Mod :rotfl:

I am amused by the three sailors in the stern quarters who are, apparantly, taking a break though this mess.

As you can see, they seem to be tired :rotfl:

I also think that the repair warrant officer is not very useful on the bridge.

I doubt that the sub can dive with a crew of 6 without any officer. The DD has heavy damage? If yes, you may be able to escape with flank speed on the surface...or maybe not...

My sub went down withitn seconds of taking this snapshot. I hit the destryoer at a horrible angle, full speed, almost 45 degrees with the rudder hard into it. My sub climbed up the destroyer like a giant angry sea monster. The front 1/4 of the sub scraped across the deck of the destroyer, clotheslining it. This knocked everything off the deck and caused major trauma to the underside of my boat

I was alive long enough to see my target explode and start to sink. The other destroyer was still firing at me and I think a couple of his shells became friendly fire.

What a way to go.

you died like a Klingon!

I have tried that kind of stuff myself...after a devestating depth charge attack I had to surface and fight until I was forced to ram at flank...wonderfull feeling...untill you restart the mission and have to do the whole thing over again.
