High... I'm a big fan of Wazoo's "Manual Charting While Moving" method (of course he didn't really invent it but big applause to him for putting all that common sense and simple geometry in one easily accesible location, for all of us to enjoy) and I find it works perfectly with a little assistance from the Watch Officer (yes, make him work for a change, let him figure out the Range and Bearing)... but the system kind of brakes down when dealing with a convoy, since the watch officer will call the range and bearing to the CLOSEST ship only and not necesarily the same one which I have sighted in my UZO... To make matters worst, the closest ship is almost always an escort and we all know that they run around in circles like idiots so there's no almost no use in tracking them at all. I know that I could get the correct range with a little help from my Weapons Officer if I don't turn his assistance off, but it should really be the Watch Officer's job.

Is there something not documented in the manual that can help me with this? I want the Watch Officer to estimate range and bearing to any particular ship, not just the closest one.

P.S.: Maybe it has been previously discussed, but a quick search yielded no results.

P.P.S.: Oh, and again kudos to Wazoo for his outstanding tutorial

No answer :-?... Oh well, I guess that means that it's back to the weapons officer for asistance :(

... I promise not to cheat by ussing him for target solutions per se, since he is TOO EFFICIENT to be realistic in my opinion :-?

maybe you can try weapons oficer; solve to target, and apears in de notepad , range and course; then you can enter yourself to de TDC.

Thanks for answering... that's kind of how I've been doing it but can no longer do so, since I turned the Weapon Officer assistance off to get 100% "realism".

Thanks anyway :)
