:) Excellent. The documentary says it all. It shows that North Americans live in fear of many countries in the world. The propaganda tactics worked on the people here in North America to invade Iraq........but the long term side affects of invading Iraq have yet to be seen. Well worth a look.

Why getting busy with this again, if the new war (Iran) already is approaching on autopilot and will be run exactly with the same pattern and media-timetable as the old one (Iraq)? I'm sure even the manipulation of the public and the lies to make the crowd convinced of how urgent and close it is (again) will be the same.

As I have seen it beeing put into words in an article some days ago: the shortest way to Jerusalem leads over Bagdhad, Teheran, Damascus.

The Power of Nightmares
Originally aired on BBC in 2004
Written and Produced by Adam Curtis

In the past, politicians promised to create a better world. They had different ways of
achieving this. But their power and authority came from the optimistic visions they offered
to their people. Those dreams failed. And today, people have lost faith in ideologies.
Increasingly, politicians are seen simply as managers of public life. But now, they have
discovered a new role that restores their power and authority. Instead of delivering
dreams, politicians now promise to protect us from nightmares. They say that they will
rescue us from dreadful dangers that we cannot see and do not understand. And the
greatest danger of all is international terrorism. A powerful and sinister network, with
sleeper cells in countries across the world. A threat that needs to be fought by a war on
terror. But much of this threat is a fantasy, which has been exaggerated and distorted by
politicians. It’s a dark illusion that has spread unquestioned through governments around
the world, the security services, and the international media.
This is a series of films about how and why that fantasy was created, and who it
benefits. At the heart of the story are two groups: the American neoconservatives, and
the radical Islamists. Both were idealists who were born out of the failure of the liberal
dream to build a better world. And both had a very similar explanation for what caused
that failure. These two groups have changed the world, but not in the way that either
intended. Together, they created today’s nightmare vision of a secret, organized evil that
threatens the world. A fantasy that politicians then found restored their power and
authority in a disillusioned age. And those with the darkest fears became the most
powerful.

You are at full liberty to question whether or not there is an international terrorist threat and back any claim up with links.
However you are also responsible for the content of the links you give (unless you clearly distance yourself from it). The content of this link might well be considered flaming or insulting towards forum members, because the artical by Jeff Davis in this link clearly supports the blatant anti-Semitic call by Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad for an international committee to study the Holocaust.
Because this is anti-Semitism:
You could hear the screams from Tel Aviv to the sidewalks of New York, as millions of Jews simultaneously shrieked in horror and outrage. Iran’s hard-line President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad termed the Holocaust a “myth” and asked for a committee to be set up to prove that the massacre of some six million Jews in Nazi Germany never took place. What? Actually EXAMINE HISTORICAL FACT with respect to the Second World War? Unthinkable! Oy!..."
We are long past the age of totalitarian/fascistoide/racial and/or anti-Semitic propaganda. I would advise you not to give links with this content anymore.
As responses to other forum member links like these are unacceptable.
