I've just started playing SH3 this week, and sofar I'm really impressed with the results. UbiSoft has come along way since SH2. Since the graphics in this game are already pretty awesome with just the stock settings on my video card, I'm wondering what settings to change on my graphics card to to really make this game look good. I'm using a PCI-e Sapphire X850 XTPE in my computer at the moment. I've got the Cat 5.13's installed along with ATI's fancy new control panel. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I have a Athlon64 3700+ with 7800GTX OC, and I am running the game on max settings with dx9fix with which you can increase your resolution to 1280x1024 (or higher, this is my natice LCD resolution) from the fixed 1024x768 resolution in SH3. Also turn on 4xAnti-Aliasing and 8x/16xAnistropic filtering in the control panel of your ATI drivers.

Thats a great system and should run the game fine with 4xAA, 8xAF at 1280x1024 reolution (with dx9fix) on max settings (set ingame).

Btw, i notice you also got yourself a Aerocool "turbine" 550. I got this one after my existing 550W JSP PSU went bust after a little over a month. The turbine is a very pretty PSU, and lasted me a good two days before going bust as well. Ha... my luck i guess. Imagine now my system is being run by a Fortron 300W which has only 12A on the 12V rail, impossible.... i know... God bless this little PSU. I got both my PSU's from UK (London) but cant return them as I have travelled back to my country and thus not feasable to send them back in warranty. ANyhow, just thought i'd share that with a fellow Aerocool owner. Hope yours last a long time.

Thaks for you're reply, sik1977. I just got a new monitor for Xmas, a Gateway FPD2185W 21" LCD widescreen. Sofar I've been running the game and the monitor at it's native resolution of 1680x1050 and sofar the games looks spectacular.

Now as for the Aerocool Turbine, I've had mine for about 6 months now and have no problems with it sofar. Sorry to hear about your misfortunes with yours.

2 questions:

1) which driver update fixed the problems
2)how well is it compatible with SLI?IE 2xleadtek Winfast7800GTX's

naturally runing on an asus a8n Premium w/ FX-57& 2gigs corsair xms twinx ram  , alll simply needing to be assembled once all the parts arrive :arrgh!:

81.95 was rock solid with SH3. No issues whatsoever. But thats non-SLI as I only have a single 7800GTX. Also I am using the dx9fix which lets you change the fixed resolution of SH3 from 1024x768 to whatever you want. I hear that this fix somehow also helps with the missing sunglare in SH3, or maybe its something else, like the added DX9 files that can be found on the latest versions of DX9.
