Today i promised myself that if i die.. I die.. And i have to start a new career with a new name and all that good stuff. Well in one day i managed to lose 2 DAMN UBOOTS!!! Pathetic!!!

First Kaluen.. Jurgen Osten.
This guy i didnt really lose, but i didnt like how my patrol was going.

Okay im beggining my patrol to BF17. First patrol. Excited with all my new mods, no problems, everything fixed. Encounter my first merchant, a coastal merchant. Damn the torps, lets just take it out with a deck gun, WHATS BRITIAN GONNA DO? SEND PLANES? bahaahaha its 1939! They dont even know wuts going on!!
ahem..
Its about 30 minutes into destroying the thing that i encounter 2 biplanes.. Ack! Crash Dive. The planes are still far off, so they drop their bombs and miss completely. I immediatly surface and look at the badly damaged Coastal, it has caught fire on aft and bow. Wohoo. its going down soon. 5 minutes later 2 hurricanes show up. Bah. Crash Dive.. They miss.. I immediatly surface again. And i still here their engines, but they are outta torps. So im good. I man the flak gun just in case..
I fire about 2 more rounds (Rub Cannon so its taking forever). And i hear my flak gun firing and "Aircraft Spotted".. I look directly port, and a hurricane has the PERFECT position on my boat. I cant even dive. All i can do is watch the bomb hit DIRECTLY ON TOP OF MY GUN AND CREW ON DECK.

I lose 5 men. My watch Officer, the cannon crew, and my flak gunner. EVerything is destroyed, battery cells, radio and hydrophones, and other things. I limped back to port, and retired that career....

Okay so i start over..
With Werner Lehmann

1 01NOV39 - 06NOV39 (6 days) 1 (1/0) 5646 (5646/0) U-Boat lost
TOTALS: 1 patrols (6 days) 1 (1/0) 5646 (5646/0) 0 enemy planes downed
46 crew lost

Summary: Leutnant z. S. Werner Lehmann and U-47 were lost
sometime on 06NOV39.

lol.. yay.. 1939 is more dangerous than i thought. It started when i lifted my periscope to look at an armed trawler passing right over me. Well he was kinda close.. 434 km.. And he spotted my scope and called a DD that i had previously passed now about 4000kms away. I stay under 25 meters but the damn trawler keeps circling. The destroyer comes, makes 2 passes and misses completely. I go silent run to 50 meters. He pings me again. Passes in front of my boot, and blows me to hell....

hehehe

1939 is pre-happy times, but that doesn't mean that the British are clueless... Not by a long shot... ;)

Kinda close... but with the hell of an eyesight to spot you at 434 Km...not to mention the DD coming to assist from 4000 Km...

Just teasing, sorry - couldn't help it - we know what you mean

Never get in a tangle with surface ships, no matter how incompetent you might think they are.

Someone once posted, "it is not my job too look for a fair fight. I am here to sink defenceless merchants."

Can't remember who that was, but damn good way to put it!
