I expect most of us did not take the trouble. But will be interesting to see how high that percentage is.

I think a better question would have been,
"who acutally read the readme file?"
Although i think i may have looked at it at a later date, but certainly not right away. So ill have toanswer that i didnt.
I stopped reading them ages ago. (ill only read it if i run into a problem) usuaully the readme only includes last minute manual changes, known issues, contact information, and where to find the latest patch.

SH3 had a read me file? :88)
Just got stuck in and freaked :help: then I started to read the info
I bought the game at the mall and sat down with a coffee to read the manual before going home, violently assaulting my brother and throwing him from the computer chair, laoding it up, and becoming extremely confused. But I never read the read me. Never had trouble with the game other than sucking at first.

I read it, as I do for every game, hoping it will clue me in on some piece of info vital to the success of playing the game. But as always, I found it had nothing really relevant to add to my gaming experience. Someday I'll give up and not bother reading the mostly useless "Readme" files. But fear of missing out on something keeps me coming back! :-?

Old proverb: "When all else fails...read the manual!" Or..".real men don't read manuals (or ask for directions, either, for that matter)."

This is quoted straight out of the Readme:
"You should always pay attention to your diesel fuel and try to avoid remaining out of fuel in mid ocean."
Ohhh, so THAT'S what I've been doing wrong. Such a valuable Readme file with this game.
