So, does merchant ships (or warships) have some common weak spot? I was today forced to attack a lonely Large Cargo and it took aprox 2.5 hours to sink her. I usually aim for the waterline or in the hull underthe bridge. So, what would be a ideal place to aim for usin deck guns? :-?

Go here (http://server3.realsimulation.com/u-boot/SH3Mods/), and download a file called fullvulnmod.zip, 9.8Mb...it adds coloured area's to your recognition manual, each one representing a particular weak spot for every type of ship.
That will help alot..
Mainly aim for the waterline or slightly below that as that will do the most good at sinking the ship.
Shooting the superstructure or upper areas wont do you as much good and just waste ammo.

Thanks! :know:
And AP rounds might help too, as they puncture the hull.

Does this fulvulnmod find its own installation folder or should it be correctly installed as a mod or in a specific folder or should it replace some other file? I´m rather green with these things... But I am learning...
-Dreadnought-, it has it's own exe and will install itself just fine.

Kapitans never manned the deckgun, what are you doing manning the deckgun? I always use autodeckgun crew.

Leave that idiot Bernard in charge of the deck gun? I want to sink ships, not myself!!
I sank a large cargo OK, most of the rounds were waterline shots. HE works fine but if you want more punch use AP. Large cargos are worth a torp, so one mag shot under the funnel and sit back and watch the fireworks!!!
Happy Hunting! :arrgh!:
