Hi everyone, I'm relatively new to playing SH3 but I think I'm picking it up pretty quick so have gone to full realism settings and installed some mods (IuB, SH3 commander). But after going to full realism I've realised I'm having a bit of difficulty in IDing the nationality of ships now, especially at night time. I realise that real sub captains would probably have had the same problem but I'm finding it near impossible to distinguish the British, Norwegian and German flags for example (all red until your about 150m away). Any advice from anyone would be appreciated.

Also, I'm not having much fun with the RuB fatigue model. I've tried best I can to rotate the crew but now I'm halfway through patrolling my assigned grid most of the crew have about a one fifth of a bar left. Hope they don't starting collapsing on the way back

Welcome Aboard Herr Kaleun

You can always change the fatique with SH commander options button. But you will have to wait until you return to port.

Theres a thread somewhere around here about changing the zoom level of your optics. A simpler method is to just use the free cam to zoom over and check out the flag. Either way is kinda a cheat IMO (big cheat in the free cam case). I use the free cam just cause I dont wanna get into the game files and screw something up.

As far as Im concerned this is one of those realism vs gameplay issues. I like realism but if it starts negatively affect my gameplay enjoyment... well.... Certail liberties do get taken. :smug:
