Dude i sank a Bogue carrier, a fisihing boat (haha i was bored) and a c3 in a convoy along with another c2(neutral) and i only got 2000 reknown. I got no medals.. And my crew only got 1 oak leaves and 30 uboat war badges.. Thats kinda lame. I mean i compensated with SH3 Commander but still.. Thats not a lotta reknown... SPecially for sinking a carrier in a task force.
What´s your realism level?? It affect to the renown.

And if I remember correctly a Bogue doesn't count for much in terms of renown points, just go and have a look in the wiki.

yep, got it :
When returning from a mission in campaign mode, if you get too close to the starting point of a mission (dock)... you will not recieve any credit for anything you accomplished and you will not be awarded any points.
But it's a strange bug.
If I understand, if we get back home at our starting point, we'll have no renown point.
But I do not remember (with patch 1.3, my last fully complete patrol) this issue and I always get back home by myself.

Odd.. My realism level is 91%. All but free camera, i just HAD to see it blow up. And i did return all the way back to base, but i thought that gave you more reknown? eh? Oh well. U-51 is off on patrol # 2.. CF76.. Start the bands!

Which is why I modified my game files to give high levels of renown to you if you manage to sink a heavy capital unit like a BB or carrier; something like 20,000 or so renown; I'm not sure right this moment; but it makes sense; someone who sunk a carrier would get the Knight's Cross instnatly, and would get a chance to go to an XXI if it was 1943.
