I hope im not against the rules by doing this didnt see a rules section so im giving it a try.
I recently started a SH3 Mods site that i would add all mods that there is (thats going to take long) and make something good for the SH3 community. its just that i have a hard time finding all the mods they are here and there and i want to reunite them into one place with the authors approval for sure. and i need help to get it the place started. Dont worry im in no competition with subsim.com it would win anyway. Its still has some work to be done which im doing offline. The forums section is done, but theres one problem ITS EMPTY. so come register post alot and have fun. At least come take a look.
Just click on my sig to access my site

I hope you are aware of that Koolhost won´t be able to host all the files... ;) You need a lot of space and tons of bandwidth if you want to offer all mods.

You can host any files, as long as you let everyone download for free.
But your current website host won't let you handle the data transfer capacity needed to be a file host.
If you're not planning on paying for an appropriate web hosting account, then your efforts are futile.

Yes, I agree. You don´t need their permission.

The 50MB webspace and 2MB file size limit is the biggest problem. :)

Isn't it possible to get past the size limit by offering hotlinks to a filefront account?
Or, haha, just upload everything to filefront and let us download. :D
Will be nice to have another site to get the mods from even though we already have one with terrapins site.
However his site has been so borked latley its really not worth visiting as most of the mod pages dont even work anymore.
Good Luck with the site
