If you use IUB or RUb...
You'll only see ships near Austrailia, New Zealand, and Indonesia.
If you use stock...
I don't thing you'll see anything.

Pretty much, the only pacific traffic you'll find is some single merchants going from new zealand to austrialia. There is no traffic that exists anywhere north, or north east of Australia.
On top of that, regarding any traffic around austriala or in the indian ocean, single merchants have a 40% chance to spawn, once every 48 hours or so, and you'll only get a contract report of any of them like maybe 20% chance, once a week.
You are already in the pacific.

haha very funny glenno :D , yup i have both mods mentioned will give it a try.
It is also historically accurate as a U-boat did sink a Liberty ship off the coast of Austrailia in WWII.

What about showing up and waiting before daylight on December 7, 1941 at Pearl Harbor ? Anyone tried that yet ? Just to witness the attack .... the frame rates in such an attack probably would crash the game anyways ...................

Trust me when i say, there is NOTHING out there.
I made a mini mod as a standalone game for myself awhile back. I spent alot of time with the RND layer and trust me, there is NOTHING in the pacific. Total clean slate. To see this for yoruself, all you ahve to do is open the campaign.RND or campaign.LND or campaign.SCR layers in the editor and look. Anything North and NorthEast of australia, and West of the US's west coast is completely empty - a blank slate.
