Which is your Favorite IX boat and why?
I'm mostly a C-er, although it's mostly my sentimentality of U-177 I think *sniff*
To be honest, there is actually less difference between them than one might like, performance-wise. That said, the C is the nicest middle ground if you play realistically, for me.
I can't get enough of using B/C boats for surface attacks. Those things seriously handle like speedboats

Back when I liked TypeIX's, I was a type C-er.

Generally speaking thats true. However, From my understanding the
IXB is *supposed* to be the fastest diving of the three, but shortest range.
IXD2 is *supposed* to have the farthest range, and slowest diving of the three.
IXC is middle road.
Now how accurataly the game reflects this is another matter.

I love my IXD2 yes she has a slow dive rate but I have survived the war till now and am in 1944 mid July and I will proberbly keep her till the end.
Same here. The D2 may have a slow dive time, but if you aren't sleeping and actually looking for ships on the bridge you have a chance to submerge in time! It is also a very stable fighting platform!
P.S. Never trust the lookout crew! They told me that We'we been spotted Sir five seconds before that bastardous ship rammed us!
