Great tool for those trying to decide over what processor to buy. Play around with it to find the right CPU for you. Obviously you will have to look seperately at price but that's not to difficult. This is a very convenient way to compare two types of CPU's and saves you having to wade thru pages and pages of benchmarking tables.

Interesting, but of course CPU speed isn't the only factor affecting game performance, the mobo and video card obviously play a big role too, and then you also have to take power supply into consideration, to name a few items. But anyway, I have a friend who recently built a gaming PC, and he says what he does is copy down the specs of an AlienWare rig and buy the approprite hardware to build a functionally identical computer, saving himself hundreds of dollars compared to buying an actual AlienWare machine.
