View Full Version : Diving?
I have some confusion about the art of diving. I click on the depth I want but unless I press "D", "C", or "S", the boat doesn't move in the direction I want. Is there something I am missing.
I don't like to hit the "D" button as I get into trouble and dive too deep, especially when other things are going on.
Thanks

Normally clicking on the desired depth should be enough. No need to press any other buttons.

It can take a while for the boat to start going when just clicking on the guage. Especially if you are going slow. Try a little test. Click the guage for your desired depth then bump up the time compression. If you get no change after a bit then you may have a problem.
Question. Did you mod any of the gauges and are you using the gauge on the interface or the 3d veiw? (dont think the 3d view gauges work)
Thanks, I'll try that. Love this sim. Got eight aircraft this cruise.

or good Gunners, evasive action and above all LUCK.
last patrol i destroyed like what.... 200 aircraft? in 1944
let them come from the side 90 degrees, and have about 8000 shots of ammo per gun. auto Flak, medium range on incoming :D
IX3 tower, 8 barrels of 20 mm...
no harm for me... :D :rotfl:
"evasive actions", eh? I´d love to see you evade a plane with your U-Boat. You must have modified it a bit "The Fast and the Furious" style, hehe.
200 dead planes due to your gunners, wow, the sky must be empty by now.
Cheers, AS
I rarely played with the aircraft in the stock game. It's great fun watching them miss your boat completely 37 times in a row, but you stop laughing very quickly when they do hit it :-? .
Now with RuB the planes are definatly a no-no :)
Well, havent tried this on RuB, but on stock, when I hit full rudder to left/right and flank speed. They hardly ever hit me.
