some skippers hear teach seawolf some 688i some kilo some p3 ect ect

you could have a small dedicated community where we could help teach the new people and what not and also help home our skill's

Shame? Silent Hunter 3 and Dangerous Waters are games, not life-and-death matters. When people want help, they seek it out from their friends on the board. That has worked well, thus far and re-inventing the wheel is not a noble persuit.

Now, if you want to start some sort of submarine simulation school, I think you should do as you see fit. I just don't understand why you feel the need to inceasantly poll the community on such matters.

well why not ?

better to get public opinion isnt it than to go waste time or out

But your poll is rhetorical. You already have in mind the answer you want to hear. Why not just start the school and eliminate the needless search?

wrong i jazzed the poll up thats all if you dont want to vote dont but leave those who do to do.

i dont want to spend endless hours preparing all this and find out later it was a waste of time and i did all that for nothing this is why i want the answer in the poll

Aye but Kapitain this thing is every day I come here there is a new poll about something for which you have already made up your mind or isn't relevant.

Coming to a forum and seeing teh forst third taken up with polls is pretty off putting especially when they relate to stuff that could maybe in other parts of the forum.

The thing is there are a bunch of virtual fleets out there who will teach people and the best way to learn is just go and play the sim.

You go online and you'll learn some more.

I think you ran a pol once about whether you should stop doing polls and most said yes. Now some of that might have been in joke, but in every joke there is truth....

I think you should cool it on the polls.

That's all well and good and a noble offer...
but may I ask, why you attempt to "shame" those that take the time to enter THIER opinion...and just happen to disagree with you???
 :nope:

Well i think its a bloody good idea. SH3 does have the community manual for newbies but all that is, is read read read. Having a school where we can PM or however its done would be great. Dont know if it was you or your son or one of your bothers Kaptain, but i got PM today by Kapitain asking if i wanted help in my kilo im to go online and he will be the target for me to track and try to sink. THATS better than training against the AI.
Hopefully i can take him on once i finish this work im doing.
