The U-A had an interesting life. Here is her story:

She was built for Turkish Navy and named as TCG BATIRAY. She was launched on 28 September 1938. As the Second World War started, her trails were not completed. The German Navy took her over and named U-A. She sunk during the war 7 ships for a total of 40,706 tons. From August 1942 on she was used as a training submarine. On 3 May 1945 she scuttled herself in Kiel.
