Do we have any wartime veterans on this board with loads of warwounds and warscars?
Or are you people like me that you have loads of scars from stupid accidents? :D

I have 13 scars and all of them are from very stupid accidents...

... But you know what they say: Chicks dig men with scars :D

I voted 4. The main ones:-

A duelling scar on my forehead.**
A cycling scar on my knee.

** Duelling with a Pie Dish as a greedy young s*d. :rotfl:

Couple of burns, one from a chip pan when I was five, and one from about two years ago when I managed to slice and cauterise the space in between my thumb and finger on the edge of the hot plate light at work.

3 scars.

An Aussie rules football scar on my right knee. A guy wearing metal studs (spikes on boots) sliced it open in a tackle.

A small scar near my eye from a rather nasty disagreement with the corner of a table.

One near my right elbow, can't remember where i got that one :hmm:

Mel Gibson meeting Renee Russo...?

Two minor scars from combat training, one minor from bike accident, one minor from cooking accident (burning), one minor and one major from real combat.

And two broken hearts...

I have more scars on my heart than my body. How sad is that? :dead:

Actually, I don't have any of these yet. Ah, the naivete of youth.

***

I'm not 100% sure to be honest. I know I have a thin line scar on my right wrist I got when I climbed a rusty tugboat wreck (that was dangerous); a now-barely-visible scar on my right forearm from when I fell off my porch onto a sharp piece of broken concrete; and a burn mark in the same place from touching a hot iron. Unlucky arm, huh.

Actually, my right ankle is less lucky, since it was once broken, and later I also managed to have a bycicle accident where I'm not sure what happened, but it had to do with the damn chain which basically tore out a nice circular piece of flesh outta there :dead:

I guess it's 4 that I clearly remember :hmm:

Next time tell your dentist he shouldn't cut that deep.

Apparently I have a problem with glass.

Age 6, left wrist, was following my sister out a door, and tried to stop door with hand. Hand went through door.

Age 8, right wrist, was trying to use an empty fish tank to boost myself up to grab a wind chime. Wrist went through fish tank. Lost lots of blood on that one, the family car looked like someone was murdered in it.

Age 8, right wrist, same incident, slightly smaller 2nd scar.

Age 8, right foot, stepped on jagged piece of metal in back yard while playing tag.

Age 9, head, was riding a Big Wheel off of my porch, head, landed on a cinder block.

Age 10, head, fell off of 12 foot park slide and landed on my head. The doctors actually told my family I wouldn't make through the night on that incident.

Age 12 left shin, was running at a pool, and slipped and slid across edge. Scrapped a lot of flesh off of my shin.

Age 21, head, was digging around in my closet when a railroad spike hammer fell off the shelf and landed on my head. It was said my Mom let out quite a shriek when she found me unconscious and bloody on the floor.

Age 24, right fore arm, my wife at the time came home really late (found out later she was with another guy) and I punched through the glass door in anger.

Age 27, head, was wrestling while intoxicated with a friend at a party, got upended on my head and landed on a rock.

Those are the major ones. Some say I was clumsy as a child, but I have no idea what they are talking about :D

The odd thing is now, I like scars now. I also have an odd fascination with my blood when I have minor accidents. I'm sure there's a medical term for that. But anyway, no major incidents for almost 10 years, so I'm either more carefull or less clumsy.

oh, I've got more than I dare to count to. :dead:

fortunately most of them have faded so only in certain light-circumstances are they visible. One doctor said that I had a skin that healed faster than anything he'd ever seen. :D

This would be a good pickup line for Angelina Jolie don't you think? :D

Nice poll ;)

Not much to contribute with, mostly tiny scars. But I have scar below my lower lip. Fell on ice as a kid and bit through the lip. Broken thoth as well.

In the army I had some fun wrestling a mate. Pushed him really hard into the lockers, unfortunately my hand got caught between him and the lock. I pretty much gave up at once... ;)

Slight accident when chopping wood. Axe made a cut just above my left thumb. Was alright, although a got a bit dizzy patching it up. Scar still there.

This spring I got a long cut on my thumb when sharpening my crampons. Bloody stupid thing to to before a climb. :88)

Oh almost forgot one on my back. Doctor removed a birth mark when I was a kid. He wouldn't win a plastic surgery competition though....

Ok, that makes five.

Cheers Porphy
