Does the Subsim server "do" anything early in the mornings (EST) like back ups, etc? Reason I ask is that it seems like every morning here recently (about the last week or so) between 0600-0700 I've had trouble loading the page.

Yep, same here - regularly around noon or so (GMT+1) no chance to access the Radio Room or SubClub.

Looks like that equals the same time frame Oneshot. :hmm:

Same here, a few others reported this as well in various threads as a btw message.

Yeah, seems like we have a definite problem with something bogging down the server around that time, am checking.

Ok, made some major upgrades and server config changes. I need someone to report back over the next 10 hours on the status of the website/forum. thanks, post here.

I've been having a lot of problems accessing the site recently, although I can't pin down a time it's usually in the AM (GMT). This is the first time I've got on today, after about half a dozen tries over the course of the morning.

Hello,
yes, same happened to me lately, usually between 9.30 and 11.00 pm GMT. But since this is 3-5 pm in the US, this may be some server activity(?).
Greetings,
Catfish

Same here but has only happened the last few days. Never kept track of what time it occured though. I am pretty sure it was around 10-11 AM PST.

Nothing today though!

Neal I may be completely wrong here but is your server based in Houston ?
Thing is, mine is too and thats been having some major problems the last week or so.
My site, subsim and quite a few others I normally browse over all seem to be down at around the same time and come back online at the same time.

Just a thought :hmm:

I know I've already posted but you asked ppl to post if they had any more problems.
I tried accessing the site around 17.40 GMT but failed, then again around 18.40 and failed, played around with SH3 then tried again now 19.40, all OK.

About an hour ago, when I tried the forums, I got a message, "Script error"

"Debug mode" or something like that. :hmm:

Forum has been down almost all week from noon-6PM USA EST, including today, Friday, Dec 9.

Coincidentally this is also European evening time. Maybe it's getting hit too hard?

Ok, I'm still trying things. I've emptied the Search table, sorry, maybe it will help.

This is interesting. In my racing league, our server is based in Texas and we have been having some nasty problems lately as well... How could this be related?

same problems here tho it's been a little better to-day--

no idea what signifcance there is to this side issue if any--but when the site is down even the googled search engine "cached" subsim pages don't load ---kinda contradicts the concept of them being cached?

does this help shed any light?
