PATCHES WILL NOT LOAD

I HAD TO FORMAT MY C-DRIVE RECENTLY,SH3 PLAYING WONDERFULLY UP UNTILL THEN. NOW WITH NEW INSTALL I CAN'T GET ANY PATCHES TO LOAD. KEEP GETTING ERROR C:\PROGRAM FILE\UBISOFT\SILENT HUNTER III\DATA\MENU\DE_HELP.TXT.\UKNOWN VERSION. THIS COMES UP WITH ALL THE PATCHES. PLEASE HELP. SHII IS MY ONLY PASSION USING ATLON BOARD WITH 6600 GT CARD.

I was haveing the same problem.... :damn: ......until i deleted the file's that were giving me the problem. :up:

What i mean is......go to the location that you are getting the problems and delete it. Then go bcak and try the patch. I believe there are 2 files that give trouble..The English and German text.

Sooo your gonna have to delete the 2 files .....then run the patch again.....once the patch installs...it will replace those 2 files you deleted earlier.... :up: ...any questions...PM me..... :|\

It really isn't necessary to post in all caps, it won't get your post anymore attention and will probably drive away those people who were willing to help in the first place. :down:

Are there really people here that are offended by someone posting a question with capslock on. There's a distinct possibility they just typed it that way without giving it a second thought.

Offended, no we are not offended. It is just that typing in all caps is considered as shouting and rude in most forums. If we didn't let a new person know what it means, how would they learn and not repeat the same mistake again? HERMANR didn't know it when he made his first post, and now he knows, and won't make that mistake again.
