Which one you play and like between these two titles?
I have both of them, and honestly saying that I like Lock On over Falcon 4.0.

LOCK ON (LO:MAC)
For my reasons:
You have more choices in what plane you want to fly.
US, RUS, GER.
Online works brilliant even for 56kers
Your brain wont fry trying to workout how to lockon to a target.
The realism factor is for newbies and the elite players.
Beautiful graphics

Don't make me choose! (I have both)
They both have their own pros and cons, though in the end I will say Falcon AF as it's dynamic campaign and complexity will keep me busy for a long time to come.

being a viperdriver since Falcon 4.0 (yeah, the one before AF.. :D) was released im quite biased towards that.
Bought Lomac, played around with it several weeks but found the keyboard layout to be absolutely horrid so I returned to F4.
otherwise a great flightsim but F4's dynamic campaign makes it all..

:D I run Freefalcon and AF. My Athlon XP1800 and geriatric graphics card struggled with Lomac.
Pity as I wanted to get to grips with the A10. But the 'near ground' stutter was intolerable.
When I upgrade I willl have another look.

The US A10 and RUS Frogfoot Bombers fly well in LO: MAC. yep good cards are needed, i get slowdowns on mine unless i lower the graphics.

Falcon forever. But AF currently is for multiplayer only. The SP campaign, AI, wingman behavior, ATC has some maximum callibre issue that crippled most mission attempts I tried and made me shelving AF and go back to SP4.2 until they manage to patch these showstopping issues. beeing with Falcon since it was released, I found it dissapointing that a commercial Falcon got re-released after so many ears with so many stepbacks, compared to the freely available mods out there. I did not expect new things, but I expected that at least what had been acchieved over the years - that this minimum would be kept. But in SP, it is seriously bugged.
For MP it is said to be a must, though, because of increased stability.
I hope for the second patch, else I will sell it and stay with SP4.2

SP4.2
Does this Falcon 4 the original run on winxp? That SP2 was that the extreme realism mod some guys made. The game was as realistic as it could be, i dont know why they put out a realism mod!
I have F4 but could never get it to run again on winxp.

Falcon SP 4.2 happily and reliably runs under WinXP, if it does not then you can take it as a clue that there is some hidden trouble with your system.

Black Shark is going to be soon.
Just got Flaming Cliffs, and I must say that the weapons logic and ECM systems are quite improved now. Perhaphs better than AF:4.40
