NO FRONTIERS
If life is a river and your heart is a boat
And just like a water baby, baby born to float
And if life is a wild wind that blows way on high
And your heart is Amelia dying to fly
Heaven knows no frontiers
And I've seen heaven in your eyes
And if life is a bar room in which we must wait
'Round the man with his fingers on the ivory gates
Where we sing until dawn of our fears and our fates
And we stack all the deadmen in self addressed crates
In your eyes faint as the singing of a lark
That somehow this black night
Feels warmer for the spark
Warmer for the spark
To hold us 'til the day
When fear will lose its grip
And heaven has its way
Heaven knows no frontiers
And I've seen heaven in your eyes
If your life is a rough bed of brambles and nails
And your spirit's a slave to man's whips and man's jails
Where you thirst and you hunger for justice and right
Then your heart is a pure flame of man's constant night
In your eyes faint as the singing of a lark
That somehow this black night
Feels warmer for the spark
Warmer for the spark
To hold us 'til the day when fear will lose its grip
And heaven has its way
And heaven has its way
When all will harmonise
And know it's in our hearts
The dream will realise
Heaven knows no frontiers
And I've seen heaven in your eyes
Heaven knows no frontiers
And I've seen heaven in your eyes

That's terrible news Damo mate. I will tell you this you were damn lucky your old man was your best friend. I consider my Dad my best mate too...but not everyone can say that. Many never have good relations with their parents. Take care hope to see you back. :(

Damo,
Firstly how can you not be a beer man living in Adelaide. Afterall it is home of Coopers which is a hell of a lot better than that West End cats pee! Whilst I don't drink anymore I haven't forgotten the quality pubs and beverages back there.
And since you are an Adelaide man I suggest that you pop into the city and visit that fine South Aussie institution, The Crazy Horse. :-j :-j

LMAO firstly I am sometimes a beer man, like the spirits better. ANd no even though I am 28 have never visited the Crazy Horse and shall never(maybe one day), respect women too much to view them like that. Women should be respected. But that my opinion.

The old man was front
14/10/1940 to 18/11/2005
His first military service was 1944 (age 4) when, sorry me dribbling ****e. Plus many more German attacks. The German planes opened fire on him alot. My Grandma told me this. A German bomber was flying towards the house, he ran in and told her that it was a German bomber and hid under the 'blitz' tables. My Grandma was doing the dishes, and said "no its one of ours" The bomber decided to open fire (machine guns) on the house, it was going down. Blow the next block up, it being fuller laided with bombs.
Than he married a Czech/Austrian.....now u peps know why I am so crazy!!!
I am getting better its just like I say, he was my best mate, and the last of my personal family.............

Report even though it been 15 days
Anyhow the funeral went great, people say it was the best funeral they have been to for funerals of course. Many laughs and tears, but many more laughs. Still kinda laugh when I type this. No religious stuff just songs and more ppl turned up for it than expected by my family but not me. Even some of his old army mates turned up and laid the poppies.
Just Reporting in
Getting mind going
clouds are going
Thanks for understanding all (you know who I mean)
