hi guys,
maybe you can help me. i want to model a gato class submarine. i already have collected photos from multiple web pages, but its unfortunally not enough to start modelling.

I don't know much about modeling, but perhaps you can use digital stills from such films as "run silent run deep", "below", "down periscope" etc etc. :hmm:

You may want to try going to the web sites of the various submarine museums. Some of them have virtual tours of the interiors that you might be able to use. :up:

Here you go. PLenty of reading and pics to look at. Its the USN manual for fleet submarines.

Be sure to check out the links to other manuals pertaining to fleet boat training.

In the Preface it mentions that the Perch SS-313 is used to represent the class, but newer submarines were used to illustrate more modern items. She's a Balao class, not a Gato.
