SubType and VersionType

I just got the bug that when you save, your uboat type reverts to type iia. I think it might have something to do with having the "Player" career still in the Career Folder.

Anyway, it's causing a CTD when I try to load the Saved Career.

Does anyone know what is the SubType and Version of a VIIC with Type 3 Conning Tower. I hope if I change this the career will load.

A VIIC is suptype 1 version 1.

As i recall it works like this:

Subtype 0 = II
Im guessing theres 2 versions
A=0
D = 1

Subtype 1 = VII
theres 4 versions.
B = 0
C = 1
C/41 = 2
C/42 =3


Subtype 2 = IX
theres 4 versions
B = 0
C = 1
C/41 = 2
D2 = 3

Subtype 3 = XXI
No versions, theres only 1 type of it.


Study your basic.cfg, its all there.

I changed it to 1 and 1 which changed my sub from a type IIa back to a type VIIC on the Saved Mission Select Screen.

Unfortunately, I am still getting the same CTD.

Make sure you edit the correct files. Their in your Mydocuments/ SH3 directory.

I dont remember offhand but theres 3 files you have to look at.
It was either Career or career0 (i forget, one of doesnt specifiy a boat, the other does)

and then patrol and patrol0.

Look at the patrol count, it seems to list everything sequentially.
