Yes we will need plenty more miracle stuff if we are to progress any further. It has to be said that we were lucky. If it wasn't for the penalty saves of keeper Schwarzer and some bad misses/shots at goal by Uruguay then we would once again be talking about another qualification failure.

After the horrible feelings of loosing to Iran in 1997 and then Uruguay in 2001 it feels like justice has been served in a way. I guess then I won't have to follow England after all for the 2006 World Cup in Germany. :D

Funny but I just realised that the last time we qualified in the 70's was when the World Cup was held in West Germany. Perhaps our Aussie footballers only like to play in Germany? :hmm:

I think it was a miracle for them that we weren't winning 28 - 0 at full time. I may be just a bit biased though. :P

That was the first game of soccer I've watched in years, and it was enjoyable, despite the colossal number of soft penalties.
