Well everyones been saying enough religeon threads so i thought i did start my new addiction.

Do you believe there are other races out there in the universe. Have you had a UFO experience?

I remeber once i was sitting outside late at night, and saw what i thought was a falling star it was moving very fast and just before it looked like it was going to hit the ground it then turn towards the sky and took off in a flash!

I stopped making homebrew after that. :D

There has to be other life forms in the universe. Space it just too big for it not to be possible. In fact I bet there is life (although not-intelligent or even animal scale) in our solar system beyond Earth and what we have sent in to space.

However I haven’t seen and I doubt that many humans have really encountered anything related to an extraterrestrial intelligence.

Those signs in wheat fields. How did they get there? Are they just a group of people late at night go out of there way to make them surely not to much work. Therefore who made them?

I say about 99% of the UFO/Alien/ETC stuff that happens are fakes or false sightings, while the other 1% are real.

Even if there are aliens, they will keep themselves away from humans :shifty:

There's a lot of strange lights in the sky around here, it's like living in the 'Rachel' of England (http://rachel.dreamlandresort.com/)
But I should imagine 95% of it is military testing. I should imagine a lot of UFO sightings were because of the B2, and of course...then there's 'Aurora' :o

We know that under certain conditions the universe can produce life (autoorganization of matter with a determined objective of subsisting), and we know that there are other planets which have similar characteristics to earth, so it is more than possible that there can be life out there, even life different than the one we know (McDonalds, Wal-Mart, SUVs etc. :-j ), but the odds of them being intelligent and skillful enough to be able to exit their own planet and travel long distances are of course much more reduced. We ourselves have yet managed it only to a minor extent, so if there ae planets full of animals like the ones in the earth it is obvious they they can't exit their environment and communicate.

Anyway I am one of those who has always thought that it is better not to find out...just in case what we find is not up to our taste ;) We have an old spanish say that goes like this: "Better alone than with bad companion" :ping:

Nonsense, with all due respect. Life elsewhere (i.e. zillions of light years away) may not require earthly conditions at all. Dont project limited scientific knowledge on all of the (vastly unknown) universe.

Sorry you could very well be very wrong again, Hitman. How can anyone know or even talk 'odds' ? We have no idea of the potential events in the entire universe.

I personally think it would be rather disappointing if the universe outside our solar system would consist of nothing more than rocks, space and gasses (and some) and no other life forms (in there or wherever), including intelligent life forms, but then again: maybe it's just that. Dunno.

PS Disclaimer: I am not a 'Trekkie' by any means .......

But of course you are right  What I meant is that we are SURE that under OUR earthly conditions the universe "can" produce life, so it si logic to think that other planets with same conditions "could" also have the same style of life as ours. Of course that does not exclude -quite the opposite- a differently structured life.

Well Kiwi wanted to "start a new addiction" with a thread about aliens. What if we mix them all together?

What if the UFO's are angels shuttling all the muslims dieing in jihad to Paradise?

Or maybe they are the bad angels (demons?) come to check on the latest things happening on the Earth. Satan said he had come "From going to and fro on the earth, and from walking up and down on it" in the book of Job.

Sorry, I just felt like being difficult.

Now ya got it...Acording to Christian faith when all that there is to be harvested of humans Christ will return and in a twinkling of an eye catch up his workers still here into Heaven...Now which is more likely to be believed...A God came and took His people home or Aliens....I'll bet a 100 bucks right now if ya started a poll Aliens would win hands down....

Scary thought...but what a great deception of the enemy being layed down now for hundreds of years....even Satan knows the Bible and is wise to prepare for this event.

How quaint huh? lol
