Just wondering if this game attracts predominantly sim freaks, or other gamers.. So, besides SH3 what else keeps you busy?
Besides SH3 the game I play most is EVE Online. Other games I play are Freedom Force Vs. The 3rd Reich, Arcanum, Diablo 2 and Fallout.

That thread is about all-time favourite games, this thread is about people are playing right now, as explained in the subject line of the post.

Just finished playing SWAT4--pretty cool sim. Also dabbled in (but haven't finished yet) Brothers in Arms Road to Hill 30. Just last weekend dusted off Sid Meier's Pirates! for some swashbucklin fun.

I'm still a die-hard Blackhawk Down with Team Sabre add-on fan. Plus, I even get my wife to play when we do it via our LAN and play the death match version. She just loves blowing me away with her sniper rifle. Hmmm, wonder what I'm missing here... :yep:
I'm currently playing, aside from SH3, Day of Defeat (looking to download source when I get the time), Warhammer 40k: Winter Assault, and online poker.

YAY! one more hockey fan in the world... Am I the only one in the whole US?
I have NHL2K5 and a ton of EA hockey games. I never play them much anymore. SH3 and my other hobbies eat up a lot of time.
Quite frankly...
I am a sub-simming, hockey loving, ballroom dancing kind of guy. What the Hell kind of heterosexual American am I???

Cool! If you want we can do some multiplayer games. Unfortunately I cannot use Gamespy to meet with other players, because CC5 simply doesn´t work for some reason, it crashes at the intro screen.

Like SH3, these games were a tad bland "straight out of the box", but thanks to the efforts of the modding communities, these games rock now, at least IMHO.
Although I must admit, SH3 has had most, if not all, of my attention since March this year.

Since I purchased SHIII months ago, it has been my primary game. I have all of the Close Combat series games. Russian Front is excellent also. As for multi-player, I`m pretty sure I have a site bookmarked somewhere. I`ll have to look for it?! :stare: It`s been awhile. In actuality I`ve been into Close Combat since the Avalon Hill days. Yep, I`m old... :dead:
Well, I found this site that seems to concentrate on CC3....I just haven`t delved into it because of this time consuming( and interesting! ) SHIII thingy... :yep:

I had the Diablo II software, but don`t know what I did with it. :hmm: I prefer the war simulations mostly. I really like SHIII and wish someone would develop a Pacific Theater naval simulation. I think that would be an awesome addition to the current simulation community.

Great to hear that close combat fans exist. I was a serious close combat freak in those days - played through them all, _especially_ the first one.
Right now i'm mostly bouncing between Battlefield 2 and SH3, with SH3 seriously dominating.
I am threatening to get Civ 4 though...very tempting.
I'm seriously looking forward to Oblivion...anyone hear about release dates on that?

Games currently on my PC:
SH3
Medal of Honor series (allied assult/spearhead/breakthrough see sig link)
Aliens v's Predator 2
Sniper Elite
Doom 3
Total Annihilation (original... though I've lost one of the disks so can't play the daddy of rts games anymore)
BF2 demo
Dungeon Keeper 2
Hidden & Dangerous 2 (and the original gold edition too)
guess that's about it for games... I only play Meadal of Honor Spearhead & Sniper Elite online.
Sniper Elite
Playing that too, quite bored of it actually, but nice stress-reliever. :)
Settlers 4. Nothing else due to limited HD space.
IL2/FB/Pacific Fighters merged, Steel Panthers World at War.
The odd flash game.

I used to play A LOT of IL-2/Forgotten Battles, until i started EvE online as well about 1 year and a month ago. I have been meaning to get the Pacific Fighters add on,but i never got round to it unfortunately.
Got into SH3 recently since i don't have a lot of time to devote to online games. I prefer to be able to save and quit if i need to when RL is busy, and that's not an option in EvE Online. Excellent game, simply because it's VERY unforgiving and a serious loss in a game is what amounts to challenge.
To the original poster: SH3 was recommended to me by the same guy who got me playing EvE,and he is our covert ops pilot  Seems he's a stealth freak :D

I´ve already downloaded it, but I´m bored of single player (the AI sucks), that´s why I haven´t tried it yet.

Since my last SH 'fix' I've played
Rome: Total War, or rather the mod Rome: Total Realism and the add-on Barbarian Invasion
Settlers IV
Stronghold 2
Civilization IV
X3 - Reuniun
The latter two are disappointing so far, not giving me the 'magic' of their predecessors.
Looking very much forward to The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion. The trailers look amazing: http://www.waiting4oblivion.com/

I've pretty much been alternating between 2 games recently: SH3 and NHL Eastside Hockey Manager 2005...
I almost broke B17 2 out after watching 12 O'Clock High over the weekend, though!

SH3
FarCry (just got it)
Xbox
Blitz the League

Finding enough time to play all of these without the wife making me sleep on the couch is tough however :shifty:
I almost forgot about Rome Total War..without the Barbarian add-on.
I play 3 different mods on 1 install depending on my mood.
I play with either Rome Total Realism Mod,SPQR Mod or Magnus Darthus Mod.
What makes it even better is that the JSGME mod enabler works with Rome Total War as well...allowing me to use 1 install to play all the different mods out there instead of seperate installs for each mod.Just enable the one I want then disable it when I want another.Sure saves on disc space.

Mostly SH3, except it's busted for now, won't boot. Probably have to buy another copy
Otherwise Brothers in Arms: Earned in Blood :yep:
Don't usually have anything installed that I'm not currently playing but other recent titles have been CoD2 :dead: , FEAR  and Fahrenheit
Hoping to pick up WW2 flight sims soon again, it's been too long since the last time and also Knights of the Old Republic 1 &2, especially since they released rather massive movie & music patch for part deux.
Oh, and PT Boats, whenever that comes out.

:) I usually find that if my SH3 mission gets corupt or won't load, I completely wipe out the hard drive and reload the whole works. I always load SH3 before I connect to the internet for the first time after a complete reinstall. This seems to work well. Good Hunting, Erich Topp U-552

Thats a bit extreme. If i get currupt files in SH3 i delete it, then defrag my drive then reinstall SH3.

Mostly SH3 but someone earlier in this thread mentioned Civ4. I didn't know it was out, but the mention of it sparked me to buy it. I've got a few games under my belt and am undecided.
IMO Civ is the best all around game ever. I've been playing since the first version, and still play CivII more than anything save SH3. CivIII was an abortion but I had hopes for CivIV. Its better than III by far but I think the replay value is not there. It's just a little too tedious.

I've been spending alot of time with X3. One looks at how much is going on in that game and the splendor of the graphics engine, plus how well it runs and it really puts SH3 to shame. :(
The engine could have been so much better looking and been more dynamic, the thing is such a resource hog.

Medieval - Total War. None of this ancient Rome stuff, I want my pikes, arbalasters and chivalric knights dammit!
Day of Defeat - and I saw one other guy higher up mention it. Play under Frenchie there too, give me a holler if you want a game sometime.
Civ III - In all honesty I did like it. Some of the features were a pain in the ass, but same can be said for most games and definitely looking forward to Civ IV when my pay packet comes in.
Sudden Strike - For when I want little sleep and much micromanagment. Have had some wonderful multiplayer games on this against friends though. The AI on the other hand gives you a bloody steep learning curve.
Used to play SWG. But the combat upgrade for that which was released and the fact my beloved Ranger class was stabbed in the back by the devs has meant my wookiee hung his bowcaster up and stalked off in a rage.
For those looking for a reasonable rpg I do suggest Dungeon Seige. I have only played the original, not the new one but if you imagine a full 3d Diablo game you'd be close to how it is. Lots of scope to how your character/s develop skill-wise and you can buy donkeys to carry all your loot! Seriously, what else does an rpg fan need? Also bloody cheap now, 10 squid last I saw?

Being a freeware dev for a CFS3 add on, Mediterranean Air War, sim I work and test in that enough to not really play it.
I have done a recent deleting of games no longer played, MoH AS, SH and BT, IL-2 all, CF2 and lesser who cares games.
I still do F1-2002 (I got GP4 but it does not load, euro version) and GTR-2002 an addon to F1-2002 with GT cars.
FPS; BIA RTH30, CoDUA, MoHPA.
I won’t do the next BIA or the GTR because they have Starforce.
Since April SH3 is what I play by far more than anything else (other than work on MAW)

Being primarily a World of Warcraft player, SH3 has been a high contender amongst the games I play during my "off" times.
Others on the list:
X3: Reunion -- just bought this on impulse... looks interesting enough once I got it to run with decent framerate
Civilization IV
Pro Evolution Soccer 5
Magna Carta (PS2) -- didn't really catch my attention yet
Shadow of Colossus (PS2) -- sitting on my desk!
