Tired and sick of insulting Muslims, arguing Jews and explaining the New Testament?
How about predicting the next US Presidential election candidates? As an extra advantage such a thread may well end in some good old anti-Americanism!
:D
This is a likely scenario.
Next summer Dick Cheney will find some honorable reason to resign. Condy Rice will become Vice-President. Since George Bush can't run anymore she could become the # 1 candidate for the Republican ticket.
Would her being a woman and being black have a positive impact on the voters. Or is it only the brains that count?
Consider she might have to fight Hillary Clinton...
Your votes and your thoughts, please?
If being black woman is enough to be elected, I'd repaint my skin and change sex :rotfl:

Ok here we go.
Round one.
I truly do not think a woman whether white or black can become President of the USA. I cannot see a woman holding power over the world. If and thats a big IF Rice did become president she would be one president her enemies would not want to mess with.
But its a scary thought. I mean imagine if she had a bad PMS month. KABOOM! world war 3 folks is here

Wouldn't the news media love a Condi v Hillary fight for President. I suspect it might just be a bit too optimistic to ask for that though but lets just wait and see.
Do I think Dr Rice would make a good President. Not sure. I would recommend people read a book titled Rise of the Vulcans for an insight into the team of people around President Bush. Very interesting. :yep:

Rice has shown herself to either be an outright bafoon or a State Dept stooge, which is a bafoon by any other name anyway.
Hillary is just plain lame.
I pity the US if either of these women are candidates in the next election.
And I can easily see a woman being President of the US. We've come a long way, baby!

Go for the center party.
lol that's exactly what Paddy Ashdown said when talking about his infidelity- paraphrased for humor: "kissed (her) neither on the right knee, nor the left, but somewhere inbetween" kinda like his politics then hehe

Back a few weeks ago, she let her hair down. I hate to actually come right out and say it, but she was ugly. It could possibly be that I'm just not used to seeing her with her hair down, and so it's not really ugliness, per say, but strange or wierd. I think she's attractive with her hair tied back. She looks stern, yes. Stern like a single mother about to rip the kidneys and spleen out of her 10-year-old that just got suspended from school. You know the kind I'm talking about. One of those moms that keeps a meter-stick and belt in the closet for when her kids get out of line. She looks tough, but attractive.
I think she's a strong Republican, but I'd like a Libertarian in there.
With all that said, I think she'd make a very respectable President. I'm just kind of disenfranchised with both Republicans and Democrats. Neither one can restrain themselves when it comes to taxes or spending, and our national debt is topping $8 trillion. I think I'd like a choice between Libertarians and Republicans. Two decades of rule between Lib/Repub majorities in the House and Senate, and one in office, and America would be ok. We'd get California cleaned up, Louisiana straightened out, the retirees in Florida learning how to read and vote, and the borders secured. Two good decades, and we'd be ok.
So, Condi Rice would win because it helps that she is hardcore and fully capable of ripping your f*cking head off.

Most definitely.
What's good for America's fight against terror is naught, naughty, naughty for Israel to follow.

The reaction of The Avon Lady - and many more Israeli's - shows that America, while certainly sympathising with Israel, is not following a blatantly pro-Israeli foreign policy, as is often suggested.
America feels its best contribution to Israel's security is sticking to the general accepted principles of international policy, the most important one being that no land can be conquered by war. Of course, this policy guarantees the opportunity for America to support Israel in case it would be attacked. America recognises that certain strategic and demographic changes of the 1967 boders will have to be made. In the eyes of America this can only been done in a letigimate way through direct negotiations and possible compensations. Such a treaty would then become international law and subject to enforcement by the international community. As such it would greatly obstruct the plans of Palestinian militants...
The main goal of US ME policy is peace in the region. It won't condone any agression against Israel and will prevent Israel from agression against its neighbours. It will try to keep its credebility with befriended Arab nations. It can do so by pointing out is leverage power on Israel and its evenhandedness: in 11 out of 12 conflicts which involved Muslims since the Second World war America gave political and sometimes military support to Muslims, starting from the Sinai campaign in 1956...

Now where's Osama to read this when you need him :hmm:
Not that he's interested in facts, muslims, america etc.
He's just shirty with the Saudi royal family and the rest are leverage.
About Ms Rice, who else have the republicans got? Colin Powel's tarnished by his UN speech, Chaney's unpalitable ditto wolfawitz et al....
The next US election should be interesting indeed.

You forgot Senator John McCain. He may give it another shot knowing that he won't be the subject of a Carl Rove inspired smear campaign which he was subjected to during the Republican nomination of their presidential candidate.
Returning to the subject of the topic, I would like to see ANY woman become president of the US, but only if it is because of her own merits. I would like to see that we live in a society where its the intelligence and merits to govern what counts, not being a man a woman or a travesti, being black, white, yellow or whatever. Most definately, I would like to see that a woman is president of the US and that noone is feeling strange about that, but instead sees in her the human qualities for governing and not a walking pair of tits

I take it that like me, you are also not a fan or supporter of the "quota" system such as for example that at least 30% of those sitting in Parliament should be women?

LOL, no not at all :D
In my job we access through a very difficult examination, where only about 200 out of 5000-6000 candidates are selected and it takes an average of 3-4 years full 10-12 hours studying daily to prepare it. And guess what? 66% of the chosen are...women :o
Just give them equal opportunities and you will see what they can do

i agree. it drives me up the wall when people say about a potential leader, "oh, he's just a regular guy." i don't want a regular guy(or girl) in charge of things, i want someone with really smart solutions to problems, with a different outlook on things from the general population, some total super genius with almost superhuman integrity.

PLEASE not condeleeza. She sucks enough at her job now, just wait till she gets into the White House. I have heard from many Russia experts (Her field of specialization) that she is considered a joke amongst them, as one of the only scholars in that community that think that Reagan single handedly brought down the Soviet Union. Not to mention her poor performance as National Security Advisor and her almost unbeliveable appointment to suceed Colin Powell at State. Add to that her domestic policy experience is ZERO. Unfortunatley just the kind of person my idiotic countrymen like to elect. :nope: Gender and race have nothing to do with the fact that she is just plain wrong for the job. How about someone who deserves the job like John McCain or Wesley Clark? Neocons need not apply.
