There is one thing above all I do not like from religions (Or form any other ideology, religious or political), and that one is the attempt to treat the humans as idiots unable to think by themselves. The preacher or leader will give you the answers, they will think for you. Religions have a doctrine to be followed and no questioning is allowed, which is itself the most stupid and incoherent possible idea. But of course it is needed for the very same survival of the religion

The christians did (And do it still) it with the Inquisition and they blamed Luther for questioning, the Muslims do it sistematically and same do the Jews.

For me this is a terrible attitude, clean againts the dignity of the human itself, and the Islam seems to be specially bad in it.

However, I still believe that anyone is in his right to loose his own freedom and human dignity and hand it to any preacher of any religion. As long as they don't want to use violence to force others to do the same, it is OK with me.

Suggested reading: Dostoievsky, "The Karamazov Brothers". Go find the chapter where one of the brothers tells to the main actor a little story he has invented, telling how Christ came back to earth in Seville (Spain) in the age of the Inquisition, and was imprisoned. The monologue of the general Inquisitor in front of Christ in the prison is a masterpiece of knowledge about the human nature.
