It's a very good new. :D
But I've a question. Are the existing careers compatibles ? Or has this mod too heavy modifications ?

I assume it was updated to at least include RUb 1.45.
Emm, no. RuB 1.45 was released more or less as I was uploading 102 to terrapin. ;) It does contain some stuff in RuB 1.45 (and RuB 145 contains some stuff from IuB 101, etc etc)
This release does not mean you have to restart a career and it shouldn't even affect your ingame saves. If I had waited till RuB 1.45 was coming out it would have meant people would have had to go back into port as RuB changes the Land and Campaign layers. Luckily though the RuB 1.45 changes are fairly minor. But they'll be included in the next version for sure.
Anyway, here's the changelog:
• Added Fubar's Typ IIA/D skins.
• Added flakwalkers VIIC cables fix.
• Added sergbuto's fixed reflections/wakes for all periscopes and snorkels.
• Added seeadlers fix for the “warping clouds” SH3 bug.
• Added Anon's (?) SH3 Convoy Map.
• Added Evil Jester 76's pack of 188 historical sub emblems.
• Added new AA searchlight.
• Added KGV long range gunner fix by Cdr Gibs
• New Units: Cdr Gibs' Tirpitz, Type 36A Destroyer, and Vorpostenboot.
• Replaced minefield maps with Schakals versions.
• Crew no longer look as if they wear fake suntan.
• Fixed “Pascals Dials” option not working.
• Fixed “Heavy Harbour Traffic” option not working.
• Fixed new command icons not working.
• Fixed some texture glitches with AI Uboats.
• Updated textual descriptions for units in the Museum.
For people who don't want to download 225mb, there should be a patch up on terrapins folder soon. (about 30mb)

Query...I have IUB 1.01, Sub Commander 2.3 (plus a few other eye candy mods). What I am most happy with is the sightings icons on the NAV chart (descriptions, course tails, etc) and the fact they appear sometimes beyond visual range. What I would like to have also is the Spy Sat view for convoys...but I understand that is incompatible with Improved Convoys which is part of both IUB and RUB. Therefore, IF! I install IUB 1.02 (which I assume contains RUB 1.45) will I still have all the NAV chart goodies (and improved visibility, internal sounds, grammophone goodies, etc)...or will I lose somethings?
Seems like every broad mod out there (and I am my no means gripping) takes a little something of what I like...while giving me lots of things I never knew I could have.
God bless the modders time, dedication and expertise.

Hey frogdog;
IuB 102 includes RuB 1.44, and some parts of RuB 1.45, but .. I think you should be able to install IuB 102 fairly safely.

I perhaps was not crystal clear. If I already have IUB 1.1 and SHIII Commander...what will I gain and/or lose if I upgrade to 1.2? I guess a collateral question (which is hinted at but not directly covered as I read the ReadMe) is: If I elect to upgrade can I do so over current set-up without disaster or must I go back to the clean install?
IuB 1.02 is designed so you can upgrade from ver 1.01 without having to any clean reinstalls, restart careers, etc.

Great Work!!
Technical note: I had to replace the movie folder with the SHIII movie file to get IuB to load.

Is there an estimate for the RUB 1.45 update?
Months? Weeks?

very nice mod im using it frequently . But i have one problem when on deck my crew sometimes loses their textures and are all light blue to white u know whats causing this ???
I am having the same problem. I managed to find some other threads on it by searching using the word "grey" as that's the colour my crewmans heads are turning when I go up on deck.
Apparantly it's because of a problem with the more recent Nvidia drivers and it's recommended to either go back to an earlier driver, try the new beta drivers or just wait until the release the next lot.
For mine, i'm just going to put up with it until the next nvidia driver is released - hopefully it won't be too long.

I'm eager to find a way to include the "decks awash" addition from RUB 1.45. I've been asking and have yet to get a response to my question of can I simply add the relavant files from RUB 1.45 to IUB 1.02 without changing anything or adding anything other than the "decks awash" dealio. THis would tide me over until the new update comes.

Yes. Copy every NSS*.cfg file from RUb´s data\submarine dir to your IUb installation (sh3\data\submarine).

And this changes nothing if Im using IUB 1.02 except that I can now run with decks awash?

i have to thanx first for this mod IUB,i had tears in my eyes when i was leaving the port for the first time and i was meeting ships and other submarines!!!wonderful stuff!
I have few question,i have very pale crew almost blue, maybe they are just very cold  i have latest ati drivers,i am also using SH3 commander!!can i use it ?i start SH3 trough it but i try to change just time compression, nothing else, also the submarine VIIB looks like from factory and polished with wax!!!no scratch shiny as dogs balls and no number on it.Is it ok with this combination of mods or is it some bug or my mistake.???
thx for a reply
good hunting
I made the crews faces paler because they were accused of being too colourful before. (U-boat crews in reality suffered from severe sunlight deprivation from all the time spent onboard)
Guess you just can't please everyone! ;)
However I have included a new optional mod which makes them all have zombie faces.

how about the slick new skin of the sub?is this normal or will i get rusty sub later on? :) thx for the mod anyway it great,i attack convoy and one disable ship was rescuted by other and then when she picked up survivors she went the direction where they came from so i behaved badly and finished her and now going to finish the crippled one. :|\
