Ok, help!!! :-?

I updated the driver for my graphic card earlier today (2x Geforce 7800 GTX in SLI). Although everything else has been fine, when I opened up SH3 tonight, I get this:

http://img481.imageshack.us/img481/9022/sh3img27102005025501710ig.th.png (http://img481.imageshack.us/my.php?image=sh3img27102005025501710ig.png)[/url]

But slight movement of perspective will alter the effect, and it only effects the external views:

http://img485.imageshack.us/img485/8977/sh3img2710200502635932jo.th.png (http://img485.imageshack.us/my.php?image=sh3img2710200502635932jo.png)

Anyone got an idea what the issue is or how to correct it?

It appears to only effect those files that I use Pascal's mods for, Type VII, uniforms, etc?

(01:00 hrs here, so please understand if I do not respond immediately) :dead:

Thanks :)

There seems to be a Problem with the new 81.84 and 81.85 Nvidiadrivers and SH3. I've got the very same Problem with my 6600 GT and the 81.85 set.

No remedy at the moment with this driverset AFAIK. You can only downgrade to 7x.xx-something Drivers, wich could prove difficult with other games and an 7er Series NVidia-Card. It seems like it's NVidias fault.

NVidia's Driversets are a royal pain in the.. well, you know.

EDIT:

Issue fixed in 81.87 Beta, grab them here:

http://www.nzone.com/object/nzone_downloads_rel70betadriver.html

(by fixed I mean listed in the Release Notes as fixed, don't have time ATM to test it personally)

A little Warning: this drivers are beta and certainly not WHQL-certified. (wich usually doesn't do squat anyhow)
So they may or may not blow up your computer or eat your dog. Use at own risk.

thanks for the link. I had the same problem and had reverted to 78.01.

Thanks for the constructive replies. ;)

Having just followed the link I can report that this beta version appears to work fine; just warnings that it has not been Windows approved.

Thanks again; I'll edit the name of this thread in case others have the same problem. :)

Cool...now all we need is to get Nvidia off their butts and fix the sun glare not working with AA turned on.
