Yes, it should. In my game I would play with SH3 commander, it adds a lot to the game.

I love the idea of this mod but have one small request.

I think I will get slowdown with the 16km vis fix etc so is there anyway that I can just use normal vision and if so what files do I need to copy from vannilla to place over the 16km to get back to 8km.

Ehm... the visibility mod affects a lot of files, including sensor files. Sensors.dat, AI_Sensors.dat, scene.dat, skycolors_xxx.dats, envcolors, a whole lot of them.

The hit isn't very noticeable except maybe near cities. I advise you to try it before deciding.

Tried it and either I spend money on another graphics card or I just use the standard 8km settings. Everything is great except this bloody card. :cry:

My card is just not upto the new larger range so I will have to pay the price for being a tight fisted git.

I will come back to this full mod when xmas comes and I have new card.

In the meantime I will extract some of the good stuff out of it for my own playability this next 2 months.

I am very curious as to how I can get similar DD ai skill. I want veterans all over, how can this be done.? I have hex but do not know where to edit for this.

Hi gouldjg;

The settings for the dd ai's are in Campaign_RND.mis and Campaign_SCR.mis. They are text files so you can edit them with notepad (I use metapad, which is better)

You just search for and change the CrewRating= that you're looking for and replace with say CrewRating=3 (Veteran)

CrewRating=0 is poor
CrewRating=1 is novice
CrewRating=2 is competent
CrewRating=3 is veteran
CrewRating=4 is elite

In IuB, I got rid of poor escorts (because they're too rubbish) and most elite ones (because they're too good)
