Magnetic Torps and lineing up shots with no map contacts

I have never managed to kill anything with a mag torp. ANYTHING. Tips?


I have no idea how to line up a ship in the attack map, without the map contacts I've been forced to eyeball it. I've been getting lots of kills, but I still need to find out how to line one up.

For the magnetic:

If you can aim an inpact torp into a ship, magnetic isnt to hard, just go to the Identification manual, find what ship it is, and put the depth of the torpedo .5-1m below the Draft in calm seas, in rough anywhere from 1-3m for me
