When did they give Type VIIBs a tail light?

Just noticed this today while playing with the external camera to get some screenies of my new emblem (see below):

Why would they give a u-boot a tail light? I wonder if it gets brighter when I stomp on the brakes as I'm about to ram a freighter in the fog :)

I assume you would use these running lights when you were in a friendly harbor so you don't get run into. (I thought we were supposed to have the option of turning these on, but it never got into the game) :down: -Nightowl

Wow, your's has windows? I'm not allowed to have windows....or sharp objects....the nice doctor says if I keep taking my pills I can sit outside in the sunshine and feed the birds. Tuesdays we have pudding! :doh:
