Using the MAP with RUB 1.44 ( Confused new Captain )

I loaded up RUB 1.44, yearning for the realism and improvements promised. I like what I see, but for one thing. When I finally find a ship and go to chart its speed and course, I am confused by what I find on the map screen, or rather lack of. The ship icons on the map disappear as I zoom in the last few levels. :huh: I find to mark and plot a ships position I have to zoom out a few levels in order to see anything on the map but gridlines and compass lines. :hmm: Is this normal?

Ye. it´s normal in RUB. :yep:

i think that is necessary do the solution with a low zoom. if not, the ships dissapears. :doh:

I have found the solution to this in the mod forum. :up:

It will be fairly painless to put a custom mod togather. Then I can use the "Generic Mod Enabler" to install it over top of RUB to get the desired result. :rock:
