I d/l'd Improved UBoat.

How can I get a clean 1.4b version back again without losing my current career?

Any help would be appreciated.

If you haven“t installed it with the mod enabler then must reinstall SH3. Tell the uninstaller not to remove the campaign saves. Then manually delete the main SH3 dir.

Everything specific to you (minus mods) is located in your my documents folder names SH3. Copy this to some other location before you uninstall the game. Once you reinstall the game, copy this folder back to its original location.

Cool...thanks guys.

I wish I used the enabler thing...it would have made life easier.

I don't think the mod is bad btw....I just cannot get used to certain aspects of it.

If he backed up his SH3\data directory, couldn't he just copy that back in to unmod?

I'm not much of a modder (I'm only running IuB and SH3 Commander 2), and I used the mod enabler, so I'm not sure if that would do it or not....

Curval: Don't give up on it so quickly! I did a couple single missions and wasn't so sure about it myself, but I decided to start a campaign and just bagged a Southampton cruiser on my first patrol! Now the ONLY thing I'd like to get rid of are those little black minus signs over the crew when they get fatigued. I'd rather have the red exclamation points back.....

Too late, I did it already. Trouble is every time I try and load my old career I CTD.

Started a new one. :(

Also copy main.cfg from data/cfg to your My Documents SH3 folder. Otherwise you won't get the improved time compression tweaks.

Anyway, fatigue issues, bugs, and interface problems will be resolved in the next release.
