I have on good insider that sh-4 will have nothing to do with sh-3. With the good sales #'s of DW and the fact you can get sh-3 for as little as $20 or even free, UBI wants a share of that market and won't be wasteing any more time or money on sh-3. The simgame players today want more hitech and boom for the buck. UBI,s consences is the modders will keep sh-3 alive and sh-2 has the pacific thing for those who want to do battle in adifferent arena. I will keep playing sh-3 but won't be buying any more ofthere products. They remind me of MS. and there wa of doing bussiness{little or minimal support}.Also don't expect any more patches for sh-3. Its a done deal. good luck and keep modding. ..... Oh and lets not embarras each other by asking my source. I like getting inside info so please no sour grapes

It doesn't take special insider info to know for sure that there won't be any more patches for SH3. Ubisoft has already told us straight out that patch 4.0b was the last patch. Everyone who has been reading Ubisoft's press releases knows that's the case - it's hardly a secret.
As for whether SH4 will 'have nothing to do with SH3', that's a matter of conjecture. If you knew anything about it I think you'd be able to give a bit more info than that. Saying that it will have nothing to do with SH3 is no information at all. If you're saying that it will be a WW1 sim, or even a modern sim, I would welcome that. I am hardly terrified by the prospect of SH4 being unconnected to SH3. Personally I was a little underwhelmed by the prospect of a Pacific sub sim.
You're frightening no one, and anyway, I think you know nothing about it. Troll bait is all your post amounts to.

I'm sorry to shake any one up and if i wanted to frighten you i'd tell you to look in a mirror. I was passing on info i thought to adults that spent alot of time and money who could ask questions and get some concrete answers out of UBI instead of just being yes men. And as for the "WHO IS THE SOURSE MAGPIES" you showed to everyone you have no real thoughts of your own... To the ones who have questions that aren't being answered good luck and keep trying and don't be discourged by afew who would like you to live in there "in the dark little world" place of theres.

If you can't name your source, you don't have a story. I think you're making it up as you go along. Not only don't you have a source, but you were so afraid of being asked to supply one that you did a pre-emptive "don't ask me to name a source".
Most of us are adults here. We're not going to be taken in by a childish attempt to pretend that there's a mysterious 'Woodward & Bernstein' style 'Deep Throat' giving you special info about the true and terrible nature of SH4 and the cover-up that the nefarious Ubisoft is supposedly undertaking.
None of us really care what SH4 will look like - as long as it gets made I'm sure most of us will be happy. I'm only here to see if I can figure out what sort of person would post something like that first post. <Moderator edit: Personal attacks removed. - Gizzmoe>

Oh BTW! What's the name of your source? Did you know that speaking on behalf for UBIsoft without their consented approval was a felony? I think it's called slander or something like that? I'm still dreaming that we'll see a MMORP version of the SH franchise...You know, many officers manninf boats and all!...
And yes the time issue can be handled to a large degree by the fact that there will be different shifts on a boat...
