Sometime recently, and I can't remember if it was the 1.4 patch or one of the latest versions of RUB, we were given a new option. When the window pops up informing us of "Ship (or airplane) Spotted" and we have three options (attack, dive, ignore) there is now a check box to make the selected action the default in the future.
My question is how to reverse the decision. I made "Periscope Depth" the default action when the crew spotted a warship but now wish I hadn't.
Recently, after sinking the lead escort, I was hauling butt on the surface in front of a convoy, trying to get a few shots in before the trailing corvette caught up. Just as I was ready to make a 90 degree turn to set up for a simultaneous bow and stern shot my lookout spotted the corvette. I knew it was there, and wasn't worried; it was too far away to shoot at me, and by the time it got over top of me, I planned to be long gone. But when my lookout spotted it, he cited my standing orders and we dove in a mad panic, thus rendering my solution FUBAR.
How can I undo this selection of default action?
Thanks,
JBC
